The reality of living with glass ceilings.
In July 2014 artist Alban Low and musician/photographer Bill Mudge were given the opportunity to stay in the TANE house, Isle of Wight, UK. The award-winning house was featured as part of the Grand Designs series when it was built in 2010.
TANE’s artistic legacy was built upon in 2015 by Alban Low and Bill Mudge. Their stay in the house was unusual in that it had been recently purchased, and only sparsely furnished. It gave the duo the chance to see the building in its purest form. Their desire was to find the narrative and theme of the property, both visually and musically. The music started with Alban Low as he documented the insects caught in the building’s beautiful skylight. London improvisation trio Toy Rokit took this as their inspiration for the score of Aspic.
