They Call Us the Enemy (2015)

Shining boots and buttons, epaulettes and stripes on shoulders and sleeves, medals pinned to the chest, a confident look in the eyes and belief in their own supremacy. The theatrical pomp and circumstance, ceremonial traditions, spotless uniforms, and accompanying attributes the military uses to present itself, contrast sharply with the devastation and chaos it causes.


About Pim Zwier

Pim Zwier obtained his MFA at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam in 2003. He makes documentaries, short films and video-installations. His films move between documentary and experimental film, and his work has been shown at festivals around the world, in exhibitions, and on television. His latest feature length film 'Never a Dull Moment' (2014) was released in arthouse cinemas in the Netherlands.

Besides being a visual artist/filmmaker, Zwier was a member of Filmbank, a Dutch distributor of experimental film. He has curated various film programs and was a jury member at several international film festivals.
